Fiddleback Outpost Leather

Rifle Butt Stock Cover
For Rifles with a Straight Comb Stock

Handcrafted by Fiddleback Outpost in Georgia, USA

  • The Butt Stock Cover patterns are made to fit specific rifle models. The leather laces allow for the perfect fit as well for slight variances in stock shapes.

The Rifle Butt Stock Cover is intended for rifles with a straight comb stock. If your rifle has a raised comb and/or a Monte Carlo style stock, it can be difficult for the leather to lay properly on those stocks. Although some do work. We assess those on a case by case basis. If you have a question regarding your stock, Contact Us.

If you've added a scope or optic to your rifle, you can choose to compensate sight alignment by adding the optional Cheek Riser. The Cheek Riser allows you to keep the crucial cheek-to-stock bond with the stock when using optics, keeping your shots accurate.

Your choice of either 1" or 1.5" Cheek Riser makes sure that no matter what size optic your rifle has, you'll have the optimum sight line naturally when raising your rifle to fire. The foam filled Cheek Riser allows solid contact, with optimal comfort. We've found that the 1" Cheek Riser is the standard size for most applications. The 1.5" Cheek Riser is usually chosen for scopes with larger bell housings or tall optic mounts.

Optional pocket and/or ammo loops makes the cover even more functional...or you can keep it plain if you'd like. Pockets and/or Ammo Loops are attached on your "handed" side, opposite your cheek. So if you're right-handed, the accessories would be on the right side of your stock, away from your face.

Each Fiddleback Outpost made leather product is handmade to the highest standards of craftsmanship. We use high quality, veg-tanned leather from North American cattle, sourced from one of the oldest tanneries in the USA. Our leather is full grain which means that the fibers of the leather are tight and uniform, with the strongest layer of the leather intact. The leather is drum-dyed at the tannery for a deep and consistent color. The finished product has sealer applied by hand, setting the dye and offering some water resistance (leather is never waterproof).
