New recipe for 2018, Backpacker’s Pantry Sweet & Sour Rice and Chicken will have your jaw on the floor. Not too sweet, with a sauce that’s just the right consistency we’ve put giant chunks of dehydrated pineapple in here that feel like they were just cut from the tree. Our all-natural white meat chicken gives this delicious meal 19 grams of protein per serving so your Chinese flavor is backed up with nutrition you can trust. Veggies like bell pepper and carrots add in more freshness and crunch to this lightweight favorite. This gluten-free entrée is tested to 20ppm just like we test all of our gluten-free meals so you know you’re not taking any risks while out in the field. Adding 2 cups of boiling water is as simple as it gets. The hardest part is waiting the 20 minutes for it to rehydrate. We won’t tell if you pick out some of the pineapple beforehand like we do.   • Remove and discard enclosed oxygen absorber before beginning food preparation. Remove Olive Oil Packet and add oil to other ingredients. Add 2 cups (480 mL) of boiling water to all contents. Stir well. Seal and let sit for 15-20 minutes. Stir and serve. Re-hydration time doubles every 5,000 feet of elevation gain. Our directions are set for 5,000 feet. Best By Date on packaging is 10 years from manufacturing date.
