This sheath is designed as a canted, near horizontal style belt sheath for the iconic Harry Wolhuter Lion Killer knife. This Diomedes Industries leather sheath will fit most maker's knives made from the Pop's Knife Supply Lion Killer knife pattern.
The Canted series of sheaths utilize a full circumference belt loop so they can be worn facing either direction. They are also designed to be ambidextrous in shape. This allows you to wear the sheath anywhere on the belt, pointed in either direction... while allowing your knife to sit in its most naturally gripped position. Right-handed or left-handed, left-hip or right-hip, facing forward or backward, front carry or back scout carry... wear it the way that suits you. The slight downward angle allows better retention than horizontal carry by letting gravity help keep the blade from wanting to slide out as much. It also creates a more natural angle for purchasing the knife from the sheath.
Every sheath is perfectly cut to exacting standards from 8-10 oz top grain leather. Leather is drum-dyed & finished sheath is oiled by hand, giving it a rich finish and color. Standard color is Chestnut (pictured), but is also available in both Oak (natural) and Black, upon request.
